It was another hot day and windy.  It was pretty smokey today too.  There are now fires on Glade Park, down by Dolores, and one near Ouray.  So we are surrounded by smoke producers.  We decided to head up on P77 anyway.  We saw lots of elk - and many elk calves.  We saw quite a few deer too.  It turned out to be a wonderful evening and was about twenty degrees cooler up there than in town.  Our riding and exploring has been on hold for the past two months as Joann has developed a sciatica/piriformis hip issue.  It's gradually getting better, but she can't ride very long without getting out and stretching.  So, these short journeys are especially nice.  Nikon Z50II
