EWR

Down to Delta to the refuge today. It was a warm 48. Nothing unusual. Sparrows, Juncos, and Flickers.  I spooked a covey of Quail. I didn’t know they were there until they flew. So no photos. Small birds are a challenge.  It’s fun anyway trying to photograph them. It’s definitely not easy. The beaver pond is nearly drained.  CPW tore open the dam with a backhoe a couple weeks ago.  The carp that were left couldn't get out.  I didn't see any of them but there were lots of coon tracks, so they maybe ate them. It was a good end to the year.  Goodbye 2025.
