Transfer Hike

It was a nice day in the 60's.  Joann and I hiked 5.5 miles at my Transfer spot.  Saw some birds.  Afterward we drove on up to see how far we could get.  We didn't quite make it to the Transfer Pond lower trailhead.  There was a pond in the road.  Others had gone through, but we didn't want to wallow in that mud.  Sony RX10IV

Hart's Basin

We had a great day birding at Hart's Basin.  Avocets, white faced ibis, grebes, pelicans, herons, snowy egrets and even an immature bald eagle to finish things off.  Just think that this is only a fraction of bird species worldwide.  What a creative mind the Lord has!

River Walk

Yep - another river walk.  You'd think I'd get enough.  With the lowlands muddy, and the highlands snowed in - what's a feller to do to stay active?  Also, I just like to walk...so there. haha  SonyRX10IV

Gunnison

It was time for another Gunnison run today.  We went on up toward Crested Butte.  Drove up Ohio Creek too.  It was a good critter day for sure.  On the way back we saw a golden eagle dragging something along the side of the road.  Looked like maybe a prairie dog.  Epic day in God's creation!  Sony RX10IV

Sandy Wash Road Hike

Walked with Joann today.  We went 5 miles.  No big critters.  Snowing again in the mountains.  After supper at Qdobas we drove up Dave Wood to the forest boundary.  Still unreal snow up there for this time of year.  Sony RX10IV

Transfer Walk

Walked today up off Transfer again. 6.7 miles. Walked over to Exhilaration Road. Lots of tracks but didn't see anything. A few flowers are starting to bloom.

River Walk

Today I walked again at the river.  It was a beautiful day with good late afternoon light.  The redwing blackbirds are back.  A heron posed for me - I liked how the sunlight made it's beak glow.  Later as we were going to supper, the light on Bostwick was nice with a low hanging cloud.  What an artist the Lord is!  Canon 70D
