Down By The Riverside

Another ramble by the river - it's my exercise spot in the winter.  The foothills around here are too. I got one of my best Kestrel shots ever as I came up out of the brush around the river.  It was sitting on a tamarack close to me and flew just as I tried to get a photo.  Fortunately, my shutter speed was fast enough to keep it fairly in focus.   Panasonic G95

Cimarron & Cebolla

Today we wandered over to the Big Cimarron and then over to Cebolla Creek.  No great critter sightings, but a great day nonetheless.  I have an addiction to the Cebolla Creek area and Los Pinos Pass.  It was quite cloudy and snowed on us a bit, but no road troubles.  Panasonic G95 and NikonP950

Norwood Ride

We rambled over to the Norwood area and then on over to the Big Basin area.  We saw one of the largest elk herds I've ever seen.  There were probably a couple hundred.  They were startled by something or someone up country and came running along side the road parallel to us.  They were nearly single file and the race went on for a long time.  Finally they crossed the road back to our north and then bunched up again several hundred yards away.  Very cool.  We also saw quite a few deer - no big bucks.  Panasonic G95
