We got our first snow last night…about 2”. That’s more than we got last winter. It’s quite late but better than never. I didn’t have to shovel snow as due to the warm concrete it only accumulated about a half inch which melted quickly. In the afternoon I went and walked at the river. It was very nice…slick in spots. Finally a few different birds are showing up at the pond…wigeons and Ringneck Ducks today for the first time. It was only in the 30s today. It felt so good to wear heavy clothes and a stocking hat.
