Sanborn Walk

Surprisingly I was able to get over into Sanborn and walk around.  For the most part, the hunters are through.  There were a few birds to photograph like Woodhouse Scrub Jays and a Townsend's Solitaire.  On the drive home down Dave Wood the West Elks and San Juans were lit up - it was stunning.  It was refreshment for the soul.  Thank you Lord!  Sony RX10IV

Escalante Jeep Ride

Today we took off over by the Escalante Rim Road.  We did a back trail there where we found a nice surprise...a group of desert bighorn rams.  They weren't bothered by us in the least so it was fun to get photos.  Then we took off down the rim road and headed up Dry Mesa.  That road has gotten nasty.  About half way up we'd had enough and turned around and came back down.  What a great day in God's great outdoors.  Canon SX70

Hanks Hike

I really enjoy hiking in Hanks.  The solitude makes the rough road worth it.  Even in hunting seasons I usually can find places the hunters don't go.  On this day, a touch of winter was definitely in the air...soooo good!  No big game decided to stand in front of my camera, but that's ok.  It was so clear it looked like you could reach out and touch the mountains.  Panasonic G95
