River/Bostwick/Kinnikin

I got a new lens today. I bought a Canon 90D from Kellen. I got a Sigma 100-400 for it from B&H. It was horrible. I don’t think the stabilization was working. So I sent it back. I was going to sell the whole works to MPB, but decided to try one more lens…a Canon 70-300L. I got it used from MPB. It seems to work really well. I can even shoot decent video with it. I walked at the river while Joann went to Delta to take her mom to the doctor. Then after supper we went up on Bostwick and Kinnikin. I think I’ll probably keep the kit now.

Gunnison/P77

We went up to Gunnysack today. We walked the river trail, and then went to another trail in town called Gunnison River State Wildlife area trail. It was not much of a trail really. The trail was nice itself but almost completely in the sun. It was a warm day and we got nice and sweaty. It’s a loop of about 3.9 miles. So we got in about 5 miles today. Then we rode up Ohio Creek and took the road to the right at the Y. We rode until it started getting muddy and turned around. Back in town we stopped at Mickey D’s for a hamburger. On the way home we went over P77. We saw some deer and elk and grouse. It was a dandy day. Sony RX10 IV

Sanborn

We went hiking in Sanborn today. Hiked around near the ZK Reservoir and down near the end of the Horsefly Road. Saw a couple yearling bull elk. We woke them up. Saw a couple horny toads too. Did about 4.8 miles total. A very blessed day. I thank God every time I’m out like this that I can hike and have a beautiful place to do so. Canon 90D
